A huge congratulations to Rory Kennard and the team at Makinex for successfully winning the Safe Work Australia Award for Good Design.
Makinex was selected from finalists across a variety of categories in the 2016 Good Design Awards and obtained their award as part of the 2016 Good Design Awards ceremony on 27th May.
The team were presented this award for the creativity, innovation and design of the Makinex Easy Lift 140 which is the brain child of Rory Kennard, Managing Director of Makinex, whose quest to make inefficiencies extinct created the Makinex brand.
The revolutionary piece of machinery enables one person to safely lift and load small equipment or bulky goods weighing up to 140kg, replacing the need for a forklift or tailgate loader for smaller loads. It is lightweight and easy to operate and manoeuvre, with the lifting arm controlled by lifting or lowering the handles using a simple thumb switch.
The Easy Lift 140 has the potential to reduce the incidence of back and other injuries caused by heavy lifting.
