This week, Hire Association Europe (HAE) is running its first ‘National Hire Week’ to spotlight the vital role hire plays in the UK economy and where better to support the campaign but the annual Executive Hire Show in Coventry (6th and 7th February).
We have a large customer base of hirers and we’ll be meeting with them at the show to showcase our latest lighting towers, generators, pumps and pressure washers. We understand the challenges they face but there’s nothing better than catching up in person.
We’re welcoming HAE’s new Skills Pledge for the industry, which will offer tailored training and skills development to help attract new recruits. With apprenticeships, vocational training and academic options, HAE hopes to build a coalition from the smallest hire businesses to the largest employers to focus activity around recruitment and retention. They’ll be working with key partners such as CITB, the Department for Work and Pensions and BuildUK.
Building awareness of the important role the rental industry plays in the economy is vital – we supply to hire companies across the UK and see the hard work they do in a variety of sectors. We hope National Hire Week encourages more people into the industry and that they are supported, developed and retained.
